Finding A Local Tutor Is Difficult
Not only do kids have stuff like friends, sports, and responsibilities to consider, but schoolwork can be extremely stressful for a kid. I can remember as a kid struggling in school. I'm uncertain if I had any variety of learning disability or not, but I just couldn't memorize such things as the rest of my class. I would sit and read all day and none of whatever was reading would sink in. It would simply go in one ear and out the other. My parents were always frustrated with me and my grades and did everything they might to help. Often times my mother would need to sit there and teach me everything I learned in class once again because none of it had sunk in. I could sit through a whole class and never get much from it. I would basically need to learn in the home on my own because information just didn't stick.
Probably the greatest things my parents did for me as a struggling student ended up being to get me a Finding A Local Tutor. They had a friend which had a son that also needed remedial help on schoolwork and they also recommended this particular local tutor. He was a local teacher at another school and tutored in his sparetime to make more money. It was great to get help from another teacher because his prospective on the information was fresh and different from the information I had been learning in school. He was able to assist me weekly and answer any questions I had from the week of schoolwork. It really helped my grades having someone local tutor me. I went from being a D+ or C- student to almost a B student. My parents were thrilled.

Therefore i was able to survive junior high school and high school and I was off and away to college. In college things were different because more was expected of you and there wasn't really anyone to call upon for additional help. Yes I possibly could ask my college professors, however they weren't always happy to help in excess of 10-20 minutes with a question. I needed someone to sit with me and teach me the info at my pace much like how I had learned in high school. I looked throughout campus postings, the educational center, and even disability services to find out if I could find a local tutor. But not one person may help me with my computer science classes. I could effortlessly get a math or Spanish tutor but no one with help me with my computer science classes, which I was majoring in. I thought I may fail out of college and disappoint everyone, but at the very last minute I did find a local tutor.
During the time the internet was just gaining momentum and the capacity to look for a tutor online was not available then. Unlike today where searching online for a local tutor is available. Today we can find all kinds of tutors online which I would have loved to have had. Finally I just happened to get a tutor by asking some of my pals who was the smartest in their computer science classes. I asked this kid and he said that he would be inclined to help me for the right price. I might have paid anything for assistance in my classes. His tutoring help was a huge help and without him I'd not have graduated on time. Thanks tutor!
